we're getting married!

Despite having grown up no more than ten minutes from each other, Danielle and Matt didn't meet for the first time until the summer of 2015 while working a summer job as lifeguards. It was lifeguard-love at first sight! After graduation, Danielle and Matt began their lives together in San Diego, CA. Since then, Danielle and Matt have moved to Austin, Texas, built successful careers in the tech industry, purchased their first home together just outside of Austin in Round Rock, and welcomed a puppy into their family named Charlie.

In March 2021, Matt invited Danielle to meet up at one of "Austin's newest speakeasies." Little did she know that her sister would have them Uber to Downtown Austin's Chateau Bellevue for a surprise Matt had been planning for months. Once at the chateau, Danielle was greeted by the acoustics of one of her favorite local musicians before walking down a pathway of roses to Matt. He got down on one knee and gave her a ring delicately inscribed with "Chapter 2", a reference to the continuation of their story from a letter he wrote her in college, titled "Chapter 1".

The wedding and reception will be held at Escondido Golf & Lake Club. We can't wait to see you there!
